Indagare means ‘to investigate’ in Latin – perfectly capturing my personal journey into conscious beauty. I’m Cath, and this brand was born from something deeper than business: it emerged from my own skin’s transformation at 40.

When my skin suddenly became sensitive, reactive, and nothing like what I’d known for decades, I realised the conventional beauty industry had failed me. What I discovered about mainstream skincare shocked me: toxic ingredients, unfair supply chains, and the horrific practice of animal testing.

But through endless research and hundreds of formulation trials, I also discovered something beautiful: ancient cultures around the world had already solved these problems using pure, powerful botanicals. From Moroccan prickly pear seed oil treasured by Berber women to Mediterranean neroli prized for centuries – these time-tested treasures proved that remarkably effective skincare could also be ethical, sustainable, and soul-nourishing.
